Verses

  1. ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ

    The Beneficent

    55:1
  2. عَلَّمَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ

    Hath made known the Qur'an

    55:2
  3. خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ

    He hath created man

    55:3
  4. عَلَّمَهُ ٱلۡبَيَانَ

    He hath taught him utterance

    55:4
  5. ٱلشَّمۡسُ وَٱلۡقَمَرُ بِحُسۡبَانٖ

    The sun and the moon are made punctual

    55:5
  6. وَٱلنَّجۡمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسۡجُدَانِ

    The stars and the trees prostrate

    55:6
  7. وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلۡمِيزَانَ

    And the sky He hath uplifted; and He hath set the measure

    55:7
  8. أَلَّا تَطۡغَوۡاْ فِي ٱلۡمِيزَانِ

    That ye exceed not the measure

    55:8
  9. وَأَقِيمُواْ ٱلۡوَزۡنَ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ وَلَا تُخۡسِرُواْ ٱلۡمِيزَانَ

    But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof

    55:9
  10. وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلۡأَنَامِ

    And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures

    55:10
  11. فِيهَا فَٰكِهَةٞ وَٱلنَّخۡلُ ذَاتُ ٱلۡأَكۡمَامِ

    Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees

    55:11
  12. وَٱلۡحَبُّ ذُو ٱلۡعَصۡفِ وَٱلرَّيۡحَانُ

    Husked grain and scented herb

    55:12
  13. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:13
  14. خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مِن صَلۡصَٰلٖ كَٱلۡفَخَّارِ

    He created man of clay like the potter's

    55:14
  15. وَخَلَقَ ٱلۡجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٖ مِّن نَّارٖ

    And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire

    55:15
  16. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:16
  17. رَبُّ ٱلۡمَشۡرِقَيۡنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلۡمَغۡرِبَيۡنِ

    Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests

    55:17
  18. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:18
  19. مَرَجَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَيۡنِ يَلۡتَقِيَانِ

    He hath loosed the two seas. They meet

    55:19
  20. بَيۡنَهُمَا بَرۡزَخٞ لَّا يَبۡغِيَانِ

    There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other)

    55:20
  21. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:21
  22. يَخۡرُجُ مِنۡهُمَا ٱللُّؤۡلُؤُ وَٱلۡمَرۡجَانُ

    There cometh forth from both of them the pearl and coral-stone

    55:22
  23. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:23
  24. وَلَهُ ٱلۡجَوَارِ ٱلۡمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِي ٱلۡبَحۡرِ كَٱلۡأَعۡلَٰمِ

    His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners

    55:24
  25. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:25
  26. كُلُّ مَنۡ عَلَيۡهَا فَانٖ

    Everyone that is thereon will pass away

    55:26
  27. وَيَبۡقَىٰ وَجۡهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلۡجَلَٰلِ وَٱلۡإِكۡرَامِ

    There remaineth but the Countenance of thy Lord of Might and Glory

    55:27
  28. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:28
  29. يَسۡـَٔلُهُۥ مَن فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ كُلَّ يَوۡمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأۡنٖ

    All that are in the heavens and the earth entreat Him. Every day He exerciseth (universal) power

    55:29
  30. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:30
  31. سَنَفۡرُغُ لَكُمۡ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ

    We shall dispose of you, O ye two dependents (man and jinn)

    55:31
  32. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:32
  33. يَٰمَعۡشَرَ ٱلۡجِنِّ وَٱلۡإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسۡتَطَعۡتُمۡ أَن تَنفُذُواْ مِنۡ أَقۡطَارِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَٱنفُذُواْۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلۡطَٰنٖ

    O company of jinn and men, if ye have power to penetrate (all) regions of the heavens and the earth, then penetrate (them)! Ye will never penetrate them save with (Our) sanction

    55:33
  34. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:34
  35. يُرۡسَلُ عَلَيۡكُمَا شُوَاظٞ مِّن نَّارٖ وَنُحَاسٞ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ

    There will be sent, against you both, heat of fire and flash of brass, and ye will not escape

    55:35
  36. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:36
  37. فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتۡ وَرۡدَةٗ كَٱلدِّهَانِ

    And when the heaven splitteth asunder and becometh rosy like red hide

    55:37
  38. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:38
  39. فَيَوۡمَئِذٖ لَّا يُسۡـَٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسٞ وَلَا جَآنّٞ

    On that day neither man nor jinni will be questioned of his sin

    55:39
  40. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:40
  41. يُعۡرَفُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ بِسِيمَٰهُمۡ فَيُؤۡخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٰصِي وَٱلۡأَقۡدَامِ

    The guilty will be known by their marks, and will be taken by the forelocks and the feet

    55:41
  42. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:42
  43. هَٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِي يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ

    This is hell which the guilty deny

    55:43
  44. يَطُوفُونَ بَيۡنَهَا وَبَيۡنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٖ

    They go circling round between it and fierce, boiling water

    55:44
  45. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:45
  46. وَلِمَنۡ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ

    But for him who feareth the standing before his Lord there are two gardens

    55:46
  47. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:47
  48. ذَوَاتَآ أَفۡنَانٖ

    Of spreading branches

    55:48
  49. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:49
  50. فِيهِمَا عَيۡنَانِ تَجۡرِيَانِ

    Wherein are two fountains flowing

    55:50
  51. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:51
  52. فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَٰكِهَةٖ زَوۡجَانِ

    Wherein is every kind of fruit in pairs

    55:52
  53. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:53
  54. مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشِۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنۡ إِسۡتَبۡرَقٖۚ وَجَنَى ٱلۡجَنَّتَيۡنِ دَانٖ

    Reclining upon couches lined with silk brocade, the fruit of both the gardens near to hand

    55:54
  55. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:55
  56. فِيهِنَّ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرۡفِ لَمۡ يَطۡمِثۡهُنَّ إِنسٞ قَبۡلَهُمۡ وَلَا جَآنّٞ

    Therein are those of modest gaze, whom neither man nor jinni will have touched before them

    55:56
  57. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:57
  58. كَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلۡيَاقُوتُ وَٱلۡمَرۡجَانُ

    (In beauty) like the jacynth and the coral-stone

    55:58
  59. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:59
  60. هَلۡ جَزَآءُ ٱلۡإِحۡسَٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلۡإِحۡسَٰنُ

    Is the reward of goodness aught save goodness

    55:60
  61. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:61
  62. وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ

    And beside them are two other gardens

    55:62
  63. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:63
  64. مُدۡهَآمَّتَانِ

    Dark green with foliage

    55:64
  65. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:65
  66. فِيهِمَا عَيۡنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ

    Wherein are two abundant springs

    55:66
  67. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:67
  68. فِيهِمَا فَٰكِهَةٞ وَنَخۡلٞ وَرُمَّانٞ

    Wherein is fruit, the date-palm and pomegranate

    55:68
  69. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:69
  70. فِيهِنَّ خَيۡرَٰتٌ حِسَانٞ

    Wherein (are found) the good and beautiful

    55:70
  71. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:71
  72. حُورٞ مَّقۡصُورَٰتٞ فِي ٱلۡخِيَامِ

    Fair ones, close-guarded in pavilions

    55:72
  73. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:73
  74. لَمۡ يَطۡمِثۡهُنَّ إِنسٞ قَبۡلَهُمۡ وَلَا جَآنّٞ

    Whom neither man nor jinni will have touched before them

    55:74
  75. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:75
  76. مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ رَفۡرَفٍ خُضۡرٖ وَعَبۡقَرِيٍّ حِسَانٖ

    Reclining on green cushions and fair carpets

    55:76
  77. فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

    Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny

    55:77
  78. تَبَٰرَكَ ٱسۡمُ رَبِّكَ ذِي ٱلۡجَلَٰلِ وَٱلۡإِكۡرَامِ

    Blessed be the name of thy Lord, Mighty and glorious

    55:78
