Al-'Adl — The Utterly Just
Al-'Adl is justice itself — Allah does not merely act justly, He is the standard by which justice is defined. The Quran states that He does not wrong anyone by so much as the weight of an atom (4:40), and a hadith qudsi has Him declare that He has forbidden injustice to Himself. Classical scholars note that the name comes through the enumeration rather than as a Quranic title, while the attribute saturates the Quran. Nothing that reaches a person from Allah is unjust, even when its wisdom is hidden.
