Al-Akhir — The Last

Al-Akhir is the Last, after whom there is nothing — He remains when everything else has ended. The name is the counterpart of Al-Awwal in 57:3, and together they enclose all of existence: nothing came before Him and nothing outlasts Him. Classical scholars pair it with the Quran's statement that everything upon the earth will perish while the Face of your Lord remains (55:26-27). A hadith renders it directly: You are the Last, so there is nothing after You.
