Al-Hadi — The Guide

Al-Hadi is the One who guides — showing the way and, more than that, putting acceptance of it into the heart. Classical scholars distinguish two guidances: the showing, which reaches everyone through messengers and signs, and the granting of guidance, which is Allah's alone. The Quran makes the second explicit: you do not guide whom you like, but Allah guides whom He wills (28:56). Allah is sufficient as a guide and a helper (25:31), and no one else can grant what this name grants.
