Al-Mubdi' — The Originator

Al-Mubdi' is the One who begins creation, bringing it into being with no precedent and no model to copy. It is paired with Al-Mu'id, the One who repeats it, and the two are always read together as a single argument the Quran makes repeatedly: the One who began a thing can certainly bring it back (30:27). The name comes through the enumeration while the Quran states the action, as in 85:13. Classical scholars use the pair to answer doubts about the resurrection.
