Al-Muqit — The Sustainer
Al-Muqit is the One who sustains and nourishes every creature with exactly what it needs, in the measure it needs. Commentators gather several senses into it: the giver of sustenance, the One with power over all things, and the witness who keeps account. It differs from Ar-Razzaq by precision rather than abundance — Ar-Razzaq gives, Al-Muqit apportions. The Quran names Him Muqit over all things at 4:85, in the context of what each person earns from what he does.

مَّن يَشۡفَعۡ شَفَٰعَةً حَسَنَةٗ يَكُن لَّهُۥ نَصِيبٞ مِّنۡهَاۖ وَمَن يَشۡفَعۡ شَفَٰعَةٗ سَيِّئَةٗ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كِفۡلٞ مِّنۡهَاۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ مُّقِيتٗا
Whoso interveneth in a good cause will have the reward thereof, and whoso interveneth in an evil cause will bear the consequence thereof. Allah overseeth all things
