Al-Muta'ali — The Supremely Exalted
Al-Muta'ali is the One exalted far above every deficiency and above whatever people ascribe to Him. The form intensifies Al-'Ali, so the name affirms not just height but transcendence of everything the imagination might attach to Him. It appears with Al-Kabir in 13:9 — Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, the Great, the Exalted — after a verse on the reach of His knowledge. Classical scholars use it to rule out any comparison between Allah and His creation.
