Al-Wasi' — The All-Encompassing

Al-Wasi' is the One whose knowledge, mercy, and giving are so vast that nothing falls outside them and nothing exhausts them. The root means breadth or capacity, so the name says that whatever is given takes nothing away from the giver. The Quran attaches it to Allah's promise of forgiveness and bounty against the whispering of poverty (2:268). Classical scholars also connect it to His mercy encompassing all things (7:156), so no one's sin is too large for it.
