Verses

  1. سَبِّحِ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡأَعۡلَى

    Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High

    87:1
  2. ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ

    Who createth, then disposeth

    87:2
  3. وَٱلَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ

    Who measureth, then guideth

    87:3
  4. وَٱلَّذِيٓ أَخۡرَجَ ٱلۡمَرۡعَىٰ

    Who bringeth forth the pasturage

    87:4
  5. فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحۡوَىٰ

    Then turneth it to russet stubble

    87:5
  6. سَنُقۡرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ

    We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget

    87:6
  7. إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعۡلَمُ ٱلۡجَهۡرَ وَمَا يَخۡفَىٰ

    Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden

    87:7
  8. وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلۡيُسۡرَىٰ

    And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease

    87:8
  9. فَذَكِّرۡ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ

    Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder

    87:9
  10. سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخۡشَىٰ

    He will heed who feareth

    87:10
  11. وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلۡأَشۡقَى

    But the most hapless will flout it

    87:11
  12. ٱلَّذِي يَصۡلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ

    He who will be flung to the great Fire

    87:12
  13. ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحۡيَىٰ

    Wherein he will neither die nor live

    87:13
  14. قَدۡ أَفۡلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ

    He is successful who groweth

    87:14
  15. وَذَكَرَ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ

    And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth

    87:15
  16. بَلۡ تُؤۡثِرُونَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا

    But ye prefer the life of the world

    87:16
  17. وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرٞ وَأَبۡقَىٰٓ

    Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting

    87:17
  18. إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِي ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ

    Lo! This is in the former scrolls

    87:18
  19. صُحُفِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ

    The Books of Abraham and Moses

    87:19
