Verses

  1. وَيۡلٞ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٖ لُّمَزَةٍ

    Woe unto every slandering traducer

    104:1
  2. ٱلَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالٗا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ

    Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it

    104:2
  3. يَحۡسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخۡلَدَهُۥ

    He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal

    104:3
  4. كَلَّاۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِي ٱلۡحُطَمَةِ

    Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One

    104:4
  5. وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡحُطَمَةُ

    Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is

    104:5
  6. نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُوقَدَةُ

    (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled

    104:6
  7. ٱلَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلۡأَفۡـِٔدَةِ

    Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men)

    104:7
  8. إِنَّهَا عَلَيۡهِم مُّؤۡصَدَةٞ

    Lo! it is closed in on them

    104:8
  9. فِي عَمَدٖ مُّمَدَّدَةِۭ

    In outstretched columns

    104:9
