Surah Al-Mursalat (The Emissaries)

Surah Al-Mursalat is the 77th chapter of the Quran, a Meccan surah of 50 ayahs in the 29th juz. It opens with a series of oaths invoking things sent forth in succession, commonly understood as winds or angels, building toward the affirmation that the promised Day of Judgment is certain to come. The surah vividly describes the cosmic upheavals that will accompany the end of the world and the reckoning that follows, warning those who denied the truth of the consequences awaiting them while affirming the reward and comfort prepared for the God-conscious.
