Verses
وَٱلۡمُرۡسَلَٰتِ عُرۡفٗا
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another
77:1فَٱلۡعَٰصِفَٰتِ عَصۡفٗا
By the raging hurricanes
77:2وَٱلنَّـٰشِرَٰتِ نَشۡرٗا
By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive
77:3فَٱلۡفَٰرِقَٰتِ فَرۡقٗا
By those who winnow with a winnowing
77:4فَٱلۡمُلۡقِيَٰتِ ذِكۡرًا
By those who bring down the Reminder
77:5عُذۡرًا أَوۡ نُذۡرًا
To excuse or to warn
77:6إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٞ
Surely that which ye are promised will befall
77:7فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتۡ
So when the stars are put out
77:8وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتۡ
And when the sky is riven asunder
77:9وَإِذَا ٱلۡجِبَالُ نُسِفَتۡ
And when the mountains are blown away
77:10وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتۡ
And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed
77:11لِأَيِّ يَوۡمٍ أُجِّلَتۡ
For what day is the time appointed
77:12لِيَوۡمِ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ
For the Day of Decision
77:13وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا يَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ
And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is
77:14وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Woe unto the repudiators on that day
77:15أَلَمۡ نُهۡلِكِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
Destroyed We not the former folk
77:16ثُمَّ نُتۡبِعُهُمُ ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ
Then caused the latter folk to follow after
77:17كَذَٰلِكَ نَفۡعَلُ بِٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ
Thus deal We ever with the guilty
77:18وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Woe unto the repudiators on that day
77:19أَلَمۡ نَخۡلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٖ مَّهِينٖ
Did We not create you from a base fluid
77:20فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ فِي قَرَارٖ مَّكِينٍ
Which We laid up in a safe abode
77:21إِلَىٰ قَدَرٖ مَّعۡلُومٖ
For a known term
77:22فَقَدَرۡنَا فَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡقَٰدِرُونَ
Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging
77:23وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Woe unto the repudiators on that day
77:24أَلَمۡ نَجۡعَلِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ كِفَاتًا
Have We not made the earth a receptacle
77:25أَحۡيَآءٗ وَأَمۡوَٰتٗا
Both for the living and the dead
77:26وَجَعَلۡنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِيَ شَٰمِخَٰتٖ وَأَسۡقَيۡنَٰكُم مَّآءٗ فُرَاتٗا
And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein
77:27وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Woe unto the repudiators on that day
77:28ٱنطَلِقُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ
(It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny
77:29ٱنطَلِقُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ ظِلّٖ ذِي ثَلَٰثِ شُعَبٖ
Depart unto the shadow falling threefold
77:30لَّا ظَلِيلٖ وَلَا يُغۡنِي مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ
(Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame
77:31إِنَّهَا تَرۡمِي بِشَرَرٖ كَٱلۡقَصۡرِ
Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles
77:32كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَٰلَتٞ صُفۡرٞ
(Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue
77:33وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Woe unto the repudiators on that day
77:34هَٰذَا يَوۡمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ
This is a day wherein they speak not
77:35وَلَا يُؤۡذَنُ لَهُمۡ فَيَعۡتَذِرُونَ
Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses
77:36وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Woe unto the repudiators on that day
77:37هَٰذَا يَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَصۡلِۖ جَمَعۡنَٰكُمۡ وَٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together
77:38فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمۡ كَيۡدٞ فَكِيدُونِ
If now ye have any wit, outwit Me
77:39وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Woe unto the repudiators on that day
77:40إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي ظِلَٰلٖ وَعُيُونٖ
Lo! those who kept their duty are amid shade and fountains
77:41وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشۡتَهُونَ
And fruits such as they desire
77:42كُلُواْ وَٱشۡرَبُواْ هَنِيٓـَٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ
(Unto them it is said:) Eat, drink and welcome, O ye blessed, in return for what ye did
77:43إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ
Thus do We reward the good
77:44وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Woe unto the repudiators on that day
77:45كُلُواْ وَتَمَتَّعُواْ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجۡرِمُونَ
Eat and take your ease (on earth) a little. Lo! ye are guilty
77:46وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Woe unto the repudiators on that day
77:47وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرۡكَعُواْ لَا يَرۡكَعُونَ
When it is said unto them: Bow down, they bow not down
77:48وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Woe unto the repudiators on that day
77:49فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثِۭ بَعۡدَهُۥ يُؤۡمِنُونَ
In what statement, after this, will they believe
