Surah Al-Mursalat (The Emissaries)

Verses

  1. وَٱلۡمُرۡسَلَٰتِ عُرۡفٗا

    By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another

    77:1
  2. فَٱلۡعَٰصِفَٰتِ عَصۡفٗا

    By the raging hurricanes

    77:2
  3. وَٱلنَّـٰشِرَٰتِ نَشۡرٗا

    By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive

    77:3
  4. فَٱلۡفَٰرِقَٰتِ فَرۡقٗا

    By those who winnow with a winnowing

    77:4
  5. فَٱلۡمُلۡقِيَٰتِ ذِكۡرًا

    By those who bring down the Reminder

    77:5
  6. عُذۡرًا أَوۡ نُذۡرًا

    To excuse or to warn

    77:6
  7. إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٞ

    Surely that which ye are promised will befall

    77:7
  8. فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتۡ

    So when the stars are put out

    77:8
  9. وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتۡ

    And when the sky is riven asunder

    77:9
  10. وَإِذَا ٱلۡجِبَالُ نُسِفَتۡ

    And when the mountains are blown away

    77:10
  11. وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتۡ

    And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed

    77:11
  12. لِأَيِّ يَوۡمٍ أُجِّلَتۡ

    For what day is the time appointed

    77:12
  13. لِيَوۡمِ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ

    For the Day of Decision

    77:13
  14. وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا يَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ

    And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is

    77:14
  15. وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

    Woe unto the repudiators on that day

    77:15
  16. أَلَمۡ نُهۡلِكِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ

    Destroyed We not the former folk

    77:16
  17. ثُمَّ نُتۡبِعُهُمُ ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ

    Then caused the latter folk to follow after

    77:17
  18. كَذَٰلِكَ نَفۡعَلُ بِٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ

    Thus deal We ever with the guilty

    77:18
  19. وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

    Woe unto the repudiators on that day

    77:19
  20. أَلَمۡ نَخۡلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٖ مَّهِينٖ

    Did We not create you from a base fluid

    77:20
  21. فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ فِي قَرَارٖ مَّكِينٍ

    Which We laid up in a safe abode

    77:21
  22. إِلَىٰ قَدَرٖ مَّعۡلُومٖ

    For a known term

    77:22
  23. فَقَدَرۡنَا فَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡقَٰدِرُونَ

    Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging

    77:23
  24. وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

    Woe unto the repudiators on that day

    77:24
  25. أَلَمۡ نَجۡعَلِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ كِفَاتًا

    Have We not made the earth a receptacle

    77:25
  26. أَحۡيَآءٗ وَأَمۡوَٰتٗا

    Both for the living and the dead

    77:26
  27. وَجَعَلۡنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِيَ شَٰمِخَٰتٖ وَأَسۡقَيۡنَٰكُم مَّآءٗ فُرَاتٗا

    And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein

    77:27
  28. وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

    Woe unto the repudiators on that day

    77:28
  29. ٱنطَلِقُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ

    (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny

    77:29
  30. ٱنطَلِقُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ ظِلّٖ ذِي ثَلَٰثِ شُعَبٖ

    Depart unto the shadow falling threefold

    77:30
  31. لَّا ظَلِيلٖ وَلَا يُغۡنِي مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ

    (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame

    77:31
  32. إِنَّهَا تَرۡمِي بِشَرَرٖ كَٱلۡقَصۡرِ

    Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles

    77:32
  33. كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَٰلَتٞ صُفۡرٞ

    (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue

    77:33
  34. وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

    Woe unto the repudiators on that day

    77:34
  35. هَٰذَا يَوۡمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ

    This is a day wherein they speak not

    77:35
  36. وَلَا يُؤۡذَنُ لَهُمۡ فَيَعۡتَذِرُونَ

    Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses

    77:36
  37. وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

    Woe unto the repudiators on that day

    77:37
  38. هَٰذَا يَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَصۡلِۖ جَمَعۡنَٰكُمۡ وَٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ

    This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together

    77:38
  39. فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمۡ كَيۡدٞ فَكِيدُونِ

    If now ye have any wit, outwit Me

    77:39
  40. وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

    Woe unto the repudiators on that day

    77:40
  41. إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي ظِلَٰلٖ وَعُيُونٖ

    Lo! those who kept their duty are amid shade and fountains

    77:41
  42. وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشۡتَهُونَ

    And fruits such as they desire

    77:42
  43. كُلُواْ وَٱشۡرَبُواْ هَنِيٓـَٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ

    (Unto them it is said:) Eat, drink and welcome, O ye blessed, in return for what ye did

    77:43
  44. إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ

    Thus do We reward the good

    77:44
  45. وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

    Woe unto the repudiators on that day

    77:45
  46. كُلُواْ وَتَمَتَّعُواْ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجۡرِمُونَ

    Eat and take your ease (on earth) a little. Lo! ye are guilty

    77:46
  47. وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

    Woe unto the repudiators on that day

    77:47
  48. وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرۡكَعُواْ لَا يَرۡكَعُونَ

    When it is said unto them: Bow down, they bow not down

    77:48
  49. وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

    Woe unto the repudiators on that day

    77:49
  50. فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثِۭ بَعۡدَهُۥ يُؤۡمِنُونَ

    In what statement, after this, will they believe

    77:50
