Quran Verses About Fear
The Quran's answer to fear is Allah's presence: 'Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see' (20:46), spoken to Musa and Harun before Pharaoh. For those who stay on a right course, the recurring promise is 'no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve' (10:62, 46:13). These eight ayahs confront fear of people, the future, and the unknown.

- Surah Yunus 10:62
أَلَآ إِنَّ أَوۡلِيَآءَ ٱللَّهِ لَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ يَحۡزَنُونَ
Lo! verily the friends of Allah are (those) on whom fear (cometh) not, nor do they grieve
The standing promise over the allies of Allah — no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.
- Surah Ali 'Imran 3:175
إِنَّمَا ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ يُخَوِّفُ أَوۡلِيَآءَهُۥ فَلَا تَخَافُوهُمۡ وَخَافُونِ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ
It is only the devil who would make (men) fear his partisans. Fear them not; fear Me, if ye are true believers
The diagnosis of intimidation — it is only Satan frightening you with his supporters — and the cure: fear Allah alone.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُواْ رَبُّنَا ٱللَّهُ ثُمَّ ٱسۡتَقَٰمُواْ تَتَنَزَّلُ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ أَلَّا تَخَافُواْ وَلَا تَحۡزَنُواْ وَأَبۡشِرُواْ بِٱلۡجَنَّةِ ٱلَّتِي كُنتُمۡ تُوعَدُونَ
Lo! those who say: Our Lord is Allah, and afterward are upright, the angels descend upon them, saying: Fear not nor grieve, but hear good tidings of the paradise which ye are promised
Angels descend on those who stay firm on 'Our Lord is Allah' — saying do not fear, do not grieve, and receive good tidings of Paradise.
- Surah Al-Ahqaf 46:13
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُواْ رَبُّنَا ٱللَّهُ ثُمَّ ٱسۡتَقَٰمُواْ فَلَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ يَحۡزَنُونَ
Lo! those who say: Our Lord is Allah, and thereafter walk aright, there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve
Steadfastness on 'Our Lord is Allah' carries its own guarantee — no fear and no grief for those who stay the course.
- Surah Al-Baqarah 2:38
قُلۡنَا ٱهۡبِطُواْ مِنۡهَا جَمِيعٗاۖ فَإِمَّا يَأۡتِيَنَّكُم مِّنِّي هُدٗى فَمَن تَبِعَ هُدَايَ فَلَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ يَحۡزَنُونَ
We said: Go down, all of you, from hence; but verily there cometh unto you from Me a guidance; and whoso followeth My guidance, there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve
From the very first exile from the Garden — whoever follows Allah's guidance, no fear will there be concerning them.

ٱلَّذِينَ يُبَلِّغُونَ رِسَٰلَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَخۡشَوۡنَهُۥ وَلَا يَخۡشَوۡنَ أَحَدًا إِلَّا ٱللَّهَۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ حَسِيبٗا
Who delivered the messages of Allah and feared Him, and feared none save Allah. Allah keepeth good account
The mark of those who carry Allah's message — they fear Him and fear no one besides Him.
- Surah Taha 20:46
قَالَ لَا تَخَافَآۖ إِنَّنِي مَعَكُمَآ أَسۡمَعُ وَأَرَىٰ
He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, Hearing and Seeing
Allah's answer to Musa and Harun, terrified of Pharaoh — 'Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see.'
- Surah Quraysh 106:4
ٱلَّذِيٓ أَطۡعَمَهُم مِّن جُوعٖ وَءَامَنَهُم مِّنۡ خَوۡفِۭ
Who hath fed them against hunger and hath made them safe from fear
Safety itself is Allah's gift — He fed Quraysh against hunger and made them secure against fear.
