Al-'Aziz — The Almighty
Al-'Aziz is the One whose might cannot be overcome and whose honour cannot be diminished. The root joins three ideas — strength, rarity, and inaccessibility — so the name says both that Allah cannot be defeated and that He is beyond reach. It is among the most frequent names in the Quran, very often paired with Al-Hakim (the Wise) or Ar-Rahim (the Merciful), which classical scholars read as deliberate: His power is never separated from His wisdom or His mercy. Might without wisdom is tyranny, and Allah is free of that.

هُوَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِي لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلۡمَلِكُ ٱلۡقُدُّوسُ ٱلسَّلَٰمُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُ ٱلۡمُهَيۡمِنُ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡجَبَّارُ ٱلۡمُتَكَبِّرُۚ سُبۡحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشۡرِكُونَ
He is Allah, than Whom there is no other Allah, the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One, Peace, the Keeper of Faith, the Guardian, the Majestic, the Compeller, the Superb. Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him)
