Al-Ba'ith — The Resurrector

Al-Ba'ith is the One who raises the dead to life on the Day of Judgement and who sends messengers to guide people before it. The root covers both senses — to raise up and to send forth — and classical scholars accept both. The name comes through the enumeration; the Quran states the action repeatedly, promising that Allah will resurrect whoever is in the graves (22:7). The One who originated a person from nothing does not find repeating it difficult.
