Al-Matin — The Firm
Al-Matin is the One whose strength is firm and unshakeable, never weakening and never wavering. Classical scholars distinguish it from Al-Qawiyy by texture rather than degree: Al-Qawiyy names the strength, Al-Matin names its solidity and permanence. The two appear together in 51:58 alongside Ar-Razzaq — the Provider, the Possessor of Strength, the Firm — so provision is guaranteed by a strength that cannot fail. Nothing wears it down and nothing exhausts it.
