Al-Muqaddim — The Expediter

Al-Muqaddim is the One who brings forward and gives precedence to whom and what He wills. It is paired with Al-Mu'akhkhir, the One who delays, and the two together describe the ordering of everything in time and rank: who is sent first, what arrives early, who is placed ahead. Both names come through the enumeration rather than as Quranic titles. Classical scholars read the pair as a warning against reading timing as a verdict — early is not always better.
