Al-Qadir — The All-Powerful
Al-Qadir is the One with complete power over everything, who does whatever He wills without effort or obstacle. His power is not exercised against resistance, because nothing is in a position to resist. The Quran uses the name as an argument at the end of chains of evidence: say, He is the One able to send punishment upon you (6:65). Classical scholars connect the name to hope as much as to fear — the One able to do all things is able to relieve what looks immovable.

قُلۡ هُوَ ٱلۡقَادِرُ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يَبۡعَثَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ عَذَابٗا مِّن فَوۡقِكُمۡ أَوۡ مِن تَحۡتِ أَرۡجُلِكُمۡ أَوۡ يَلۡبِسَكُمۡ شِيَعٗا وَيُذِيقَ بَعۡضَكُم بَأۡسَ بَعۡضٍۗ ٱنظُرۡ كَيۡفَ نُصَرِّفُ ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَفۡقَهُونَ
Say: He is able to send punishment upon you from above you or from beneath your feet, or to bewilder you with dissension and make you taste the tyranny one of another. See how We display the revelations so that they may understand
