Al-Warith — The Inheritor
Al-Warith is the One who remains after all owners are gone and to whom everything returns. Inheritance among people passes property from one temporary holder to the next; with Allah the chain ends, because He was the real owner throughout. The Quran states it plainly: indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and We are the Inheritor (15:23). Classical scholars connect the name to the loosening of grip — nothing a person holds is finally his.
