Dhul-Jalali wal-Ikram — Possessor of Majesty and Honour
Dhul-Jalali wal-Ikram names Allah as the possessor of both awe-inspiring majesty and abundant generosity. Classical scholars stress the pairing: jalal keeps the servant in reverence, ikram draws him in hope, and either without the other distorts the relationship. Surah Ar-Rahman uses it twice, closing the surah with it (55:78) after a long recital of favours. The Prophet ﷺ encouraged persistence in calling upon Allah by this name (Tirmidhi 3524).
